In the Kardashev scale, the level of civilization is measured by the scale of energy utilization. However, if humanity pursues only energy and technology while neglecting morality and spirituality, conflict and destruction will be difficult to avoid. Therefore, beyond an “energy civilization,” we must also build a “moral civilization, a meditative civilization, and an awakened civilization.”

Human history has continually replayed the same patterns—from friction between individuals, to conflicts among communities, and even wars between nations. Lacking the confidence to embrace and integrate differences, we often choose intimidation and confrontation instead. In the 21st century, pandemics, extreme climate events, refugee crises, and food and energy shortages have further emerged—leaving no one unaffected. This reminds us that our future survival depends not only on technology, but more fundamentally on whether we can build a truly spiritual civilization.
